One of the ways that Philippines Outreach attempts to deal with poverty is through sponsoring students from poor backgrounds and enabling them to go to college. As students get an education they are then able to get decent jobs and hence provide for themselves and their families. Although our focus is on college students, Philippines Outreach also has a sponsorship program for elementary school and high school students.Philippines Outreach also works in coordination with YWAM in this ministry.

It costs about $1200 per year to sponsor a student to go to college. That amount covers a majority of the student's college expenses.
It costs about $100 per year to sponsor a student to go to elementary or high school. The $100 helps provide the student with a uniform, school supplies and other things needed for school.

For those interested in being sponsored, at the present time we are only able to assist in the sponsorship of students who are connected with our churches in the Philippines. Maybe in the future we will be able to expand our sponsorship program to other areas.
